The afternoon sun slipped softly into Mimi’s classroom as children colored their drawings. Everyone was quiet, busy, and happy.
Mimi opened her crayon box and paused. Her favorite purple crayon was missing. She looked around and saw Arya using it.
Mimi felt a little upset. “That’s mine,” she whispered in her heart. She almost stood up to take it back.
Then she noticed Arya smiling, carefully coloring a flower. Arya’s own crayons looked old and broken.
Mimi took a slow breath. She walked to Arya and said softly, “You can use it. I will wait.”
Arya looked surprised. “Really? Thank you!”
Mimi sat back down. She used other colors. Her drawing looked different, but still beautiful.
After some time, Arya returned the crayon and said, “You are kind.”
Mimi smiled. Her heart felt warm and light.
💡 Moral of the story is: Kindness is more important than always being right.
